Is it safe for my baby?
Yes. It's certified to 16 CFR 1236, the U.S. federal Infant Sleep Products standard — tested by an accredited laboratory for sleep-surface firmness, flatness and incline. Most novelty baby loungers on the market aren't, which is why we had ours certified before we sold a single unit.
As with any sleep surface, put your baby down on their back and keep loose blankets, pillows and soft toys out of the space.
What age is it for?
Newborn through the first several months. Once your baby can push up on their hands and knees or roll over consistently, it's time to move them into a full-size crib — that's standard guidance for every product in this category.
How soft is it really?
The outer shell is a brushed plush over dense structured foam, and the sleep surface inside is firm and flat as the standard requires. So it feels beautifully soft to the touch on the outside while giving your baby the supportive surface they need.
